• Comedian and podcaster Bobbi Althoff is officially joining the cast of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives spin-off in Orange County.
  • She attended the Netflix Is A Joke Festival Presents: The Roast of Kevin Hart event on Saturday, May 10, where the cast took part in a viral twerk-off on stage.
  • Bobbi also revealed the real reason she joined the cast during a red carpet interview.

You may know Bobbi Althoff thanks to her on-again, off-again podcasting saga with Drake over the years, but now, she’s making her way to reality television. The comedian is expanding her horizons and officially joining the cast of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County, the latest installment in the SLOMW franchise.

On Saturday, May 10, Bobbi dished on the real reason she’s suddenly making a foray into reality TV at the Netflix Is a Joke Festival Presents: The Roast of Kevin Hart event. During a red carpet interview with Entertainment Tonight, she addressed the question in an incredibly real way, saying, “My PR answer would be, like, friendships, and my not PR answer would be more exposure to make more money.”

She added, “I don’t know. I’m terrified because people are seeing me in a way they’ve never seen me before. I feel like I keep my private life private and, yeah, my boyfriend [Tyler Hawkins] makes a lot of debuts on it, and it’s like…I’m a little nervous. I don’t know, it’s scary.”

The Really Good Podcast host seems to be getting along just fine with the rest of the SLOMW: OC cast (for now, anyway), as they also made an appearance onstage with Bobbi at the Netflix Is a Joke event on May 10.

According to footage published by TMZ, her costar Madison Bontempo hopped on stage during the “Bobbi Althoff Tries Standup” segment of the show with other attendees to partake in a…twerking competition? Viewer discretion is advised for this chaotic clip:

Of course, the comments section on TMZ’s post was anything but chill about it. “I want to see jail time for all involved,” one person wrote, while another added, “I’m watching without sound and I’m overstimulated.” Another chimed in, “Who let the Morms out? This should have stayed a secret in their lives.”

Per the clip, there was also a camera crew capturing the moment, meaning this could potentially be part of the spin-off series. Guess we’ll have to wait till SLOMW: OC premieres to see if the viral moment makes it in HD!
